MORRISVILLE,SmartPath, a developer of market resource management software, released version 5.0 of its MRM product today, saying it includes new vendor management, online bidding and media scheduling capabilities.

Smartpath also has been included in Gartner Inc.’s “Visionary Quadrant” in its evaluation and raking of MRM vendors.

Gartner based its quadrant report on a study of 450 MRM applications in use at Global 1000 firms,

“The MRM space continues to grow and attract attention from vendors and enterprises that seek to automate marketing planning, execution and measurement,” said Claudio Marcus, Gartner’s research director of CRM and Business Technology in his report “Marketing Resource Management: 2003 Magic Quadrant” and cited by SmartPath.

“Enterprises that manage substantial marketing resources involving complex marketing activities should consider prepackaged MRM applications as a reasonable alternative to in-house or custom development.”
