ATHENS,AviGenics, a biopharmaceutical company focused on avian transgenics, named Dr. Yashwant Deo as its new chief executive officer Monday morning.
Carl Marhaver, the company’s previous CEO, is now chief operating officer.
Deo previously was senior vice president of operations at Medarex and also worked for Schering-Plough and Centocor, which is part of Johnson & Johnson.
