Trinity Security, which provides integrated fire, security and communications systems for commercial firms, recently closed on a $1.5 million investment from Venture Capital Solutions of Winston-Salem.

Trinity Security was launched in 2002, and the firm plans to expand into several new markets across the Southeast.

Founded in 2002, Trinity Security is an integrator of commercial fire, security and communications systems in the Southeast. The investment by VCS will allow the company to expand in the Carolinas through acquisitions and organically.

“Our business is about having the right products and people to help protect an organization’s assets,” said Peter Wright, co-founder and president of the company, in a statement. “Technologies that are used in protecting the people and property of an organization are becoming much more complex. Our customers are looking for a partner who can integrate these technologies across the enterprise. We are excited to have VCS support our vision by becoming an investor.”

Robert Gefaell, a principal at VCS, added: “We invest in solid management teams in proven markets, we believe that the growth opportunity in organizational security is significant. Trinity Security has a focus of serving the customer, which was attractive to us.”

VCS has offices in Winston-Salem and Atlanta.
