Great Smokies Diagnostic Laboratory has introduced a new version of its digestive analysis program that is designed to help physicians diagnose, assess and monitor a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions.
The Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis program gives doctors “greater clinical precision,” according to Frank Taylor, chairman and chief executive officer of the company. It can determine between chronic disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease and also use markers for noninvasive assessment of colorectal cancer.
