Two venture capital deals – one in North Carolina, one in Georgia — pushed the region’s VC total passed the $200 million mark.
But the Carolinas and Georgia remain far behind the pace of 2002. Through the first quarter last year, VC fund-raising topped $300 million.
STI Knowledge in Atlanta landed $14 million in its first venture financing.
Arsenal Digital Solutions in Cary closed on $10.5 million — its fourth round of funding.
