Spirit Airlines will use Internap’s private access network points in Miami and Chicago in order to speed up a variety of services, Internap said Thursday.

Spirit Airlines plans to complete reservations, back-office and pilot scheduling functions through Internap. The company said the move would improve the efficiency of its Internet-based operations.

The circuits between Internap and Spirit will be installed this month.

“Our business is focused on delivering superior performance. When it comes to Internet connectivity, we’ve found that at Internap,” said David Anderson, chief information officer of Internap in a statement.

Internap guarantees 100 percent network availability, extremely low packet loss and miniscule latency across the network.
