Dave Gould, the chairman and chief executive officer of Witness Systems, is the winner of the 2003 John Yates Award for Community Leadership from the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta.
Witness (Nasdaq: WITS) is a provider of performance optimization software and services. It has its headquarters in Roswell, GA.
Gould participated in the United Way’s Tech Initiative. His firm more than doubled its United Way contribution to $57,462 in 2002/
The Tech Initiative raised $580,000.
The award is named after John Yates who heads the technology practice at Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP. Yates has served as chairman of the Tech Initiative the past two years.
