Wireless customers wanted to get driving directions, restaurant reviews, sports scores and traffic reports may soon get such information through BellSouth’s “Enhanced Directory Assistance” service.
BellSouth announced Monday that it would make the information available to wireless carriers. The information is offered through an automated system backed by “live” operators. The service also includes traditional information such as telephone listings by name, address and zip code.
Other information includes weather forecasts, airport flight information, ski reports, and the ability to make restaurant reservations.
