Hatteras Networks has named Fred D’Alessio, president of Verizon Communication’s advanced services group, to its board of directors.
D’Alessio has more than 30 years of experience in telecommunications and was responsible for rolling out Verizon’s long distance, broadband ISP and DSL services. D’Alessio also served as president and CEO of Bell Atlantic Maryland among other positions.
Hatteras said his experience in those areas would assist the company as it launches its so-called last mile high-speed Ethernet communications platform.
