Embrex broke ground Friday for its manufacturing plant in Laurinburg.
The plant will be used to produce the company’s Inovocox poultry vaccine once it is approved by the US Department of Agriculture.
The facility will be near the Laurinburg-Maxton airport. It is expected to take one year to finish. Some 13 people will be employed initially, but that number is expected to increase to 40 when the plant begins full production, according to Embrex.
