The new year has not brought increased interest in bigger technology budgets, based on a survey just out from the Technology Forecasting Consortium.
The TFC, which is an advisory council for Aberdeen Group, found that enterprises are expected to increase technology spending by 2.7 percent over the next six to 12 months. A similar survey in September predicted a 3.7 percent increase.
The survey included chief information officers and other IT purchasing decision makers.
IT outsourcing is predicted to increase 1.8 percent. And small increases are forecast for all hardware types with the exception of mainframes.
