InterAct Public Safety Systems recently won a contract worth $20.8 million contract from the state of Kentucky for provisioning of public safety software to law enforcement agencies.
The company was founded in 1975 and has developed a public safety software system. InterAct will send a team of 22 people to install the software.
InterAct has 165 employees, including 65 in Asheville and 80 at an operations center in Atlanta. Another 20 or so work from home offices.
The company is looking to hire an additional 20 to 25 employees, including software engineers.
