MicroMass Communications has added John Banas Jr., MD, as a medical advisor.
Banas is professor of clinical medicine at the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia University in New York. He also played a key role in development of the cardiac program at Morristown Memorial Hospital in New Jersey, a teaching affiliate of Columbia.
Banas said he would work with MicroMass “to help cardiovascular patients comply with their treatment regimens. Adherence is a prevailing problem in healthcare, and MicrosMass, with its behavioral methodology, has developed programs that are proven to be effective.”
