Lawyer candidates in Georgia were able to take the essay portion of the state’s bar exam recently using their own laptops and software provided by Software Secure’s “Securexam” program.
The company said its software administers tests with ease and through a “cheat proof” security platform.
“Using Securexam was a positive experience for the applicants and my staff,” said Hulett Askew, director of bar admissions for the Supreme Court of Georgia. “The candidates were provided an easy way to type their exam answers, we knew that with Securexam cheating would be almost impossible, the bar examiners and the applicants were comforted by the ease with which the exam answers were printed out moments after the exam, and the examiners will be much happier getting typed rather than hand-written answers.”
Software Secure is based in Cambridge, MA.
