NetIQ, which maintains a development office in Raleigh, rolled out a content security tool designed to deal with instant messaging at the NetConnect conference in Orlando, FL on Monday.
NetIQ (Nasdaq: NTIQ) sand its imMarshal 1.0 for MSN is one of the first such tools developed for instant messaging as well as setting up corporation usage polices for IM.
Citing research from Gartner, Inc., NetIQ said while instant messaging is used at more than half of US businesses, less than one percent try to manage it.
The NetIQ tool provides management, monitoring, control and reports on employee use of the Internet, including instant messaging, e-mail, and the web.
