Emory University in Atlanta is the latest university to license SciQuest’s procurement software solution, SciQuest announced Tuesday.
Emory will use SelectSite Spend Director for use first in the procurement and material services department. Emory also has licensed SciQuest’s Science Catalog, which includes 1,000 suppliers of scientific, and lab supplies. The SpendDirector enables suppliers to provide information to Emory through a web-based interface.
In a statement, Emory said the SciQuest process would provide a “user-friendly product selection tool” and assist in making “cost-effective buying decisions.” The university procurement department also will have “unprecedented visibility into what departments are buying,” said Rex Hardaway, director of procurement and material services at Emory.
