Sue Powers, senior vice president and chief information officer at Worldspan, is the 2003 Woman of the Year in Technology as selected by the Technology Association of Georgia.
Powers was selected for her contributions in developing and implementing a variety of technology solutions for Worldspan, which provides a variety of services to companies involved in the travel industry. She has been with the company since 1993.
Honors are nothing new for Powers. She has been named one of the 100 most important women in travel by Travel Agent Magazine six times and twice has made the magazine’s “Winner’s Circle” for people of the year.
