A4 Health Systems has introduced a new record system designed to ease transfer of patient chart information via e-mail.
A4 says it has combined Microsoft’s Outlook e-mail program with its Healthmatics EMR software to enable two-way transmission of patient charts. Received e-mails and attachments are stored as part of a patient’s record, A4 says.
A4 also enables patients to log in from home or from a kiosk at a practice to provide what A4 calls “Instant Medical History.” By entering the information online, patients and doctors say an average of four minutes per visit, the company says.
