Representatives of two new venture capital funds as well as the director of technology development at UNC Chapel Hill, will take part in a Council for Entrepreneurial Development on Monday, Feb. 17.
Dana Fowlkes, general partner in BioVista, and John Cambier, director of new ventures at the MCNC Research & Development Institute, will talk abut those funds. BioVista is funded in part by the NC GoldenLeaf Foundation. MCNC recently split into two groups, one of which includes a venture fund targeted at early stage investments.
Also appearing will be Mark Crowell, assistance vice chancellor for economic development and director of technology development at UNC Chapel Hill.
The panel discussion will begin at 5:30 PM at the NC Biotechnology Center.
