Tim Sweeney, president and founder of Raleigh-based Epic Games, says the company won’t be suing a security firm that had criticized Epic’s products, according to CNET.

Sweeney was reacting to a report on TechTV.com during which an Epic executive had said the company would sue PivX Solutions for a report in which it outlined problems with Epic’s Unreal Engine. The game engine forms the core of Epic’s mega-hit game Unreal Tournament and has been used by other game developers.

Sweeney said that PivX had “found some security problems and we took way to long to get to them. We are not going to sue anyone for finding flaws in our products,” according to CNET.
