Representatives of 17 North Carolina public companies will be on hand Thursday to discus reasons why institutional investors should be interested in their firms at the NCINVEST 2003 conference.
The event, sponsored by the Triangle chapters of the National Investor Relations Institute and the Association for Corporate Growth, will be Thursday at the North Raleigh Hilton.
State Treasurer Richard Moore will deliver the keynote address.
“This is the first time that regional investors will have the opportunity to meet with the management teams of so many outstanding and diverse companies all in one day in North Carolina,” said Jenny Kobin, president of the NIRI Triangle Chapter, in a statement.
Patti Gillenwater, president of ACG in the Triangle, said the groups hoped to make the conference a regular event. “We plan for this conference to be an annual event and hope to add participation from even more North Carolina-based public companies and sponsors in 2004,” she said in a statement.
