General Motors, seeking to improve the resale value of used vehicles, is now using NuTech’s Vehicle Distribution System.

The Charlotte firm announced Friday that GM had completed installation and testing of the VDS system. The product is designed to help organizations to optimize the allocation of vehicles to auction sites. Using its built-in artificial intelligence, VDS evaluates millions of scenarios to find where the highest resale value for vehicles can be found.

“General Motors Remarketing believes that NuTech’s VDS has helped, and will continue to help, us make more efficient vehicle logistics decisions and aid in improving our operating results,” said Jeff Heichel, GM’s director of used vehicle activities.
