BellSouth, which recently reported passing the 1 million mark in high-speed digital subscriber line (DSL) Internet customers, is now offering DSL modems from Westell.
The modems are manufactured in Illinois.
BellSouth said the Westell modems can be installed by consumers easily and added that 90 percent of DSL customers preferred to install the hardware themselves.
