Internap Network Services Corp. increased its customer base by nearly a third in 2002 and also increased revenues in the fourth quarter while also cutting losses.

Internap, which provides routing services across the Internet, said its customer base grew 31 percent last year to 1,273. At the same time, fourth quarter revenues increased 4 percent over the previous quarter, to $34.1 million. Annual revenues were $132.5 million for the year, up $15 million from 2001.

The company reported a loss of $15.6 million for 2002 vs. a $117 million loss in 2001.
