COLUMBIA, S.C. … The interval between venture deals in South Carolina is getting shorter, but the state likely won’t see another one this year.

After suffering through a six-month drought before bagging its third deal, the Palmetto State had to wait just two months for the fourth one to close. KryoTech, which produces electronic cooling equipment, announced a $5 million fourth round last week.
