Summus and Snapfish, an online photo service, have launched Snapfish Mobile to consumers via the Cellmania mFinder and mBilling platform.

Cellmania’s premium applications are available to Cingular Wireless subscribers.

“Cingular Wireless customers will now have complete access to all of their film and digital photos wherever they go,” said Raj Kapoor, president and co-founder of Snapfish.

Snapfish Mobile, powered by Summus’ BlueFuel, allows customers to share, print and store photos right from their mobile phones. In addition to digital camera prints, even traditional film photos can be shared via mobile phones.

When subscribers send their film to Snapfish, they receive back their prints and negatives, plus images are scanned into an online album. These photos are accessible through Snapfish Mobile just like digital camera photos.

Subscribers can access their Snapfish account from their phones and use the various features they are familiar with on the Web.

“We’re very pleased that Cellmania has recognized Snapfish Mobile — as a compelling application that will add value and flexibility to Cingular subscribers,” said Bjorn Jawerth, Summus’ chief executive officer. “Summus continues to provide carriers immediate revenue-generating services and subscribers with an exceptional user experience when using applications powered by BlueFuel.”

BlueFuel is Summus’ platform designed for efficient and easy interaction with information in the mobile environment. Application developers and content providers partner with Summus to build applications powered by BlueFuel for distribution on carrier networks.
