The local chapters of NIRI and ACG will be hosting NCINVEST2003, a regional investor conference featuring presentations by the CEOs and CFOs of 17 Triangle and Triad-based public companies.

NIRI is the National Investor Relations Institute and ACG is the Association for Corporate Growth. Both have chapters in the Research Triangle Park area.

NCINVEST2003 is an exclusive conference, with attendance by invitation only. The purpose of the conference is to bring together growing North Carolina public companies and institutional investors based in the Southeast.

The participating companies are Closure Medical, Cree, Embrex, Highwoods Properties, Inspire Pharmaceuticals, Krispy Kreme, Martin Marietta Materials, Paradigm Genetics, Pozen Pharmaceuticals, Progress Energy, Quintiles Transnational, Red Hat, Salix Pharmaceuticals, SciQuest, Pharmanetics, Triangle Pharmaceuticals and Trimeris.

The conference keynote luncheon speaker will be Richard Moore, State Treasurer of North Carolina, who is trustee for $60 billion in the state’s public state pension funds and investments.

NCINVEST2003 will be held on Feb. 13, 2003, at the North Raleigh Hilton on Wake Forest Road. Current sponsors include Deloitte & Touche, Wachovia, r+m creative, CCBN, Rivel Research Group, Bowne and R.R. Donnelley.
