RALEIGH –Business Telecom Inc. (BTI), an integrated communications provider in the Southeast, has appointed John Gant to the position of regional sales director for its Tampa operations.
In his new position, Gant will drive business development efforts and oversee sales of BTI local, long distance, Internet and data services.
Prior to his role in Tampa, Gant managed BTI sales operations in Savannah, GA, where he supervised sales teams and acquired key business customers throughout the region.
Before joining Raleigh-based BTI, Gant held sales and management positions with telecom companies like BellSouth and KMC Telecom.
“The knowledge and experience he brings in communication services, coupled with BTI’s success in Florida make a great combination to address the growing demand for our services,” Jack Feingold, area vice president at BTI, said in a statement. “John has already created an action plan designed to reach more businesses and his team is excited about increasing BTI’s presence in the local market.”
