The North Carolina Electronics and Information Technologies Association (NCEITA) will host its annual NCEITA 21 Awards Celebration Thursday night.

With the theme this year being “Technology Rocks,” the NCEITA 21 Awards will recognize the best of North Carolina’s IT companies.

“It is the oldest and most prestigious IT awards ceremony in the state,” says Chris McClure, the coordinator of community and government affairs for NCEITA. “It is to highlight technologies companies that are making a difference and doing well.”

McClure says awards are given in five categories: technology industry, stage of development, functional, leadership and excellence.

KPMG LLP conducted the selection process along with our former chairs of NCEITA’s board on the selection committee.

The NCEITA 21 Awards Ceremony begins at 6 PM at the Sheraton Imperial in Research Triangle Park.

NCEITA is a not-for-profit membership-driven trade organization billed as the primary voice of the IT industry in North Carolina. It promotes and strengthens the electronics, telecommunications, software, Internet and related service industries through increased public awareness, and provides a forum to learn, educate, communicate, promote, network and implement actions.
