Avesair, a provider of mobiles marketing and media solutions,
has landed a deal with Champs Sports to launch a wireless marketing campaign in New York City to coincide with the grand opening of the company’s new location in Times Square.

Avesair’s software allows company’s to send targeted messages to users of wireless devices with information on special retail offers, sales and other information about a nearby business.

Avesair, founded in 2000, is responsible for delivering more than 50 million mobile marketing messages in use by more than 60 customers around the world, including AT&T Wireless, Mercedes-Benz, The Sporting News and Volvo, to name a few, according to a statement released by the company.

In that statement Sean Harrison, executive vice president of business
development and marketing for Avesair, said: “We’re pleased to see Champs Sports, a leader in sports retail, leverage the mobile marketing medium.”
