In a move that the company says enhances the appeal of its Advanced Server, Red Hat will make Oracle Cluster File System available to its enterprise customers.

Red Hat made the announcement at Oracle World in San Francisco.

In a statement, Red Hat said the Oracle software combined with Advanced Server would allow customers to manage database storage across different systems.

“The Oracle Cluster File System allows all nodes in a cluster to concurrently access a given file system, which allows for easy management of databases that need to be share across a cluster,” according to Red Hat.

Red Hat is focusing much of its market attention on the enterprise market through the Advanced Server line.

Red Hat (Nasdaq: RHAT) closed down 3 cents Monday at $4.28.
