Zoom Culture’s “Hip-Hop Nation” has gone national.

The Chapel Hill media company says “Hip-Hop Nation” kicked off its new season on Friday night by appearing on nearly 100 TV stations covering some 75 percent of the US marketplace.

The show focuses on the reality and culture surrounding hip-hop and was launched a year ago on a limited run in Raleigh and a few other markets.

Zoom Culture says its new round of distribution deals covers 52 weeks and includes stations in 42 of the top 50 markets. The company says its advertising inventory also has been sold out and among the sponsors is Universal Records.
