RALEIGH … The winds shifted a bit last week, blowing in a bit from the venture capital sector after weeks of gusting the opposite direction. Four deals were closed, including the first one in South Carolina since last spring.

Data security firm LURHQ of Myrtle Beach landed a $2 million first round. It was joined by the largest deal of the year in Charlotte … $17 million raised by logistics software company Elogex … a $4 million addition to a round wireless software developer Pinpoint Networks initially closed in August and an undisclosed amount for FullSeven Technologies, which creates branded e-mails.

Across the Southeast, 101 tech firms have raised more than $821 million in venture funding so far this year, for an average deal size of about $8.2 million. Here’s a look at LocalTechWire’s exclusive list of deals in the region, ranked according to the size of the investment:
