File download site Tucows has selected SwiftCD.com to provide it with an on-demand CD delivery option for site visitors.
Consumers will be able to build custom “on-the-fly” Tucows A La Carte CDs from the company’s download sites worldwide, it says. Tucows is based in Toronto and has an office in Flint, MI. SwiftCD.com is out of Conyers, GA, near Atlanta.
“Using our ‘off the shelf’ technology, Tucows was able to quickly and easily provide CD delivery service to its customers,” SwiftCD.com President Vinnie Jensen, said in a statement. “With our flexible order transfer system and XML interface, Tucows is now able to offer a CD delivery option for every file in their library and will now enjoy a new substantial revenue stream from CD sales.”
The A La Carte CD will be available from all Tucows sites. CDs can be built while browsing the site using a shopping-cart style interface. The price for a CD is $11.95, which includes worldwide shipping, and all orders are mailed within 48 business hours.
