Harris Corporation is bringing 100 or so new high-tech jobs to North Carolina, Gov. Mike Easley said Thursday.
The governor announced that Harris will create a research and development center in Keystone Business Park. The R&D center will create 100 new jobs and also bring as many as 40 current Harris employees from the West Coast to the Triangle, according to Easley.
Harris is an international communications company.
The NC Department of Commerce helped recruit Harris along with the Research Triangle Partnership and local Chambers of Commerce, the governor said.
