Trainersoft, a provider of authoring tools for e-learning content, has signed a definitive agreement to merge with OutStart, a provider of content-centric learning platform based in Boston.
OutStart will integrate Trainersoft’s capabilities with its current offerings, Evolution and SoftSim. Trainersoft is based in Raleigh. The merged company … with more than 100 employees … will operate under the name OutStart and remain based in Boston.
“Now, OutStart offers the most effective learning software product on the market at every level,” Massood Zarrabian, chief executive officer and president of OutStart, said in a statement. “–Because we will offer an integrated product family, investments at any level will be protected as learning initiatives are adapted or expanded to meet changing business needs.”
Founded in 1999, OutStart has offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dublin, London, Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC, and Lake Mary, FL. With the Trainersoft merger, it will retain an office in Raleigh.
Trainersoft is a 10-yearold company focused on corporate learning technology industry, offering software for the design and management of Internet based training. The company has provided e-learning technologies to over 5,000 organizations worldwide, including 7 of the top 10 and 3 percent of all the Fortune 500.
