Peopleclick, a supplier of enterprise workforce management
technology, has inked a multi-year contract with Express Personnel Services, a global leader in staffing and human resources services with more than 75,000 clients.
The deal comes fresh on the heals of Peopleclick’s decision to acquire another firm – itiliti – last month.
Express will use technology from Peopleclick to strengthen the e-procurement and staffing e-commerce tools it offers its growing international customer base, the company says. In doing so, Express will utilize Peopleclick’s Vendor Management Solution to offer customers a Web-based solution to source, engage, track and manage their contingent workforce.
Peopleclick acquired its suite of workforce management tools through the recent purchase of Minneapolis-based itiliti. Express had begun talks with itiliti before the acquisition, but did not seal the deal until after the acquisition, says Jim Grundner, senior vice president of product management and marketing for Peopleclick. While Grundner did not disclose the price of the deal with Express, he said it validates Peopleclick’s acquisition of itiliti.
“The deal is really a key proving point in the success of the acquisition made of itiliti,” says Grundner. “Looking at the acquisition and key channel partners, like Kelly Services, this tells us that the acquisition was right on point, in that our technology that we have integrated into the marketplace is viewed as a success. It’s a tremendous point in proving the acquisition, and we believe that it will create new opportunities.”
Based in Oklahoma City, Express offers staffing services, including temporary placement, evaluation hire, flexible staffing, professional search and workforce solutions through the company’s three divisions: Express Personnel Services, Express Professional Staffing and Express Business Solutions. Grundner points out that Express will pay Peopleclick based on how many clients are routed through the systems. He also says the company expects to announce more deals next week.
Peopleclick provides Web-based applications to companies worldwide. From recruitment management, performance management, and career planning to succession planning and EEO/Affirmative Action compliance, Peopleclick says it provides solutions to build a productive and diverse workforce. The company currently has over 300 employees, with its U.S. headquarters in Raleigh and its international headquarters in London.
