Digital Recorders Inc. (Nasdaq: TBUS), a supplier of transit, transportation and law enforcement digital communications and audio enhancement systems, has made several staff promotions, organizational changes and additions in its TwinVision and Digital Recorders business units in RTP

At TwinVision, based out of RTP, Lawrence A. Hagemann has turned over the role as the TwinVision business unit’s president and general manager … positions he has held since 1998 … to Jerry Sheehan. The company says this change will provide Hagemann more time for his role as Digital Recorders Inc.’s chief operating officer of North Carolina operations and executive vice president, positions to which he was appointed in 2000 and 1998, respectively.

Sheehan has been promoted to VP and GM of the TwinVision business unit in RTP. Previously, he served as the business unit’s VP of sales and marketing. He joined the company in 1998 as TwinVision’s VP of sales and marketing. Previously, Sheehan held marketing and sales management positions with Voith Transmissions and Prima Facie, both in Pennsylvania.

The Digital Recorders business unit is also based in RTP, where Floyd J. Diaz has been promoted to VP and GM. He had been its acting GM since May. Diaz joined Digital Recorders as VP and sales and marketing manager in 1999. From 1993 to 1999, Diaz was VP of sales & marketing at ERG Transit Systems in Toronto and from 1986 to 1992, he held various positions with Schlumberger Oil and Gas Exploration in Houston.

Tanya Johnson has signed a part-time employment contract to continue working with the Digital Recorders business unit in RTP, as well as on special projects for the corporate administration team in Dallas. Formerly, she was Digital Recorders GM and a Digital Recorders Inc. VP, positions to which she had been appointed in 1998.

Digital Recorders Inc. has products that it says improve the flow and mobility of people through transportation infrastructure, as well as enhance law enforcement agencies’ surveillance capabilities.
