Jim Hausman has joined CT Communications (Nasdaq: CTCI) as chief financial officer, replacing Barry Rubens, the former CFO who is assuming a new role with the company.

Rubens will become senior vice president of corporate development and strategic planning. As the new CFO, Hausman will direct the financial and regulatory development functions for CT Communications.

Prior to joining CT Communications, Hausman served as CFO for three emerging telecommunications companies: American Lightwave Communications, Crescent Communications and Prepaid Telecom Corporation. Hausman was responsible for the financial reporting functions at each company as well as assisting with cash management, forecasting and operations.

Hausman also worked for 12 years as CFO and VP of finance and administration for Houston Cellular Telephone Company. He is relocating from Houston with his wife and two daughters.

CT Communications is a Concord-based provider of integrated telecommunications services to residential and business customers located primarily in the Carolinas. It is a 105-year old telecommunications company that offers services including local and long distance telephone services, Internet and data services, and digital wireless services.
