J.D. Power and Associates has awarded BellSouth, EarthLink and RoadRunner with its highest honor for customer satisfaction as Internet service providers in 2002.
BellSouth shared the honors with Atlanta-based EarthLink and RoadRunner, a subsidiary of AOL-Time Warner that has a strong customer base through Time Warner Cable in the Triangle and Charlotte.
Study respondents used seven factors to determine the ranking of the nine largest ISPs, including performance and reliability, image, billing, customer service and promotions, the release says.
