A report buy information technology research firm IDC says that revenues generated by a division of SAS focused on risk management increased 25 percent in 2001.
The report, “Operations and Production Analytic Applications Forecast and Analysis, 2002-2006,” finds that the overall market for risk management applications grew 14.4 percent in 2001 and now totals $1.3 billion.
Details of the report were not immediately available, and privately-held SAS does not disclose specifics as to its finances.
SAS also announced a new version of its inSchool Internet subscription service is up and running. A statement released by the company says the re-vamped inSchool, which allows high school students to do schoolwork over the Internet from any location, was designed after analyzing customer feedback.
