SCOTTSDALE,The state of North Carolina has selected eFunds (Nasdaq: EFDS) to provide electronic benefits transfer services, eFunds announced Tuesday morning.
The Arizona-based company said it had won a three-year contract with two possible renewals of one year each.
North Carolina will use eFunds for the electronic distribution of food stamps and affiliated services, including help desk support, the company added. Recipients will receive training on how to use cards for benefits processing.
