ForestExpress, a provider of e-business consulting services and supply chain software applications, has won a contract with International Paper to transfer the giant’s customer traffic to a new network.

In a statement released by the company, ForestExpress chief executive officer Bob Renner says: “Companies connected to the network are able to take advantage of a variety of ForestExpress-offered connectivity solutions, allowing them to leverage their current technology investments and build on their e-business strategies.”

The company also says it has doubled the number of XML messages it can transact at one time over its network and expects to double that number again by the end of the year.

ForestExpress was founded in 2000 with support from some of the world’s largest forest products companies, such as Georgia-Pacific Corp. and Weyerhaeuser Co.
