Ubi Soft Entertainment, one of the world’s largest videogame publishers with a major operation in Morrisville, reports its most recent fiscal year was a strong one.

Ubi Soft says its sales were in line with its forecasts, up 42 percent or $326 million from the previous year. Internal growth was 18 percent, twice that of the world video game market. Ubi Soft is a French company founded in 1986 that owns Morrisville-based Red Storm.

In the United States, sales increased 11 percent and now represent 37 percent of Ubi Soft’s business, the company says. Sales in Europe were up 21 percent, it added, and account for 57 percent of consolidated sales.

Operating income is up 292 percent, Ubi Soft says, due to continued gains in productivity and control of operating expenses. Thus, sales per employee grew 38 percent.
