Elogex Inc., a provider of collaborative logistics solutions, has signed up ES3, LLC, a supply chain management services firm dedicated to the food industry, to use Elogex solution for its inbound and outbound transportation activities.
In applying proprietary just-in-time (JIT) inventory processes and systems to the grocery supply chain, ES3 says it found the Elogex solution to be the only offering that could satisfy its need to dynamically optimize and monitor logistics activities across multiple manufacturers, carriers and retailers.
ES3 adds that it will implement the Elogex solution as the foundation for optimizing inbound and outbound transportation at its York, PA, distribution facility. When complete, it will be the world’s largest grocery warehouse. This facility employs advanced supply chain technology available for collaborative logistics and distribution center automation.
Keene, NH-based ES3 joins other food industry leaders including Hannaford Bros., The Kroger Company, Shaw’s Supermarkets and Winn-Dixie Stores, who have all recently chosen Elogex, which is based in Charlotte.
