The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) is now accepting applications for companies to demo at its InfoTech 2002 conference.

Scheduled for October 29-30 in RTP, InfoTech 2002 will continue a 12-year tradition of showcasing the best of North Carolina’s multi-billion dollar IT industry.

The selection committee is looking for North Carolina-based companies at any stage of development that possess technology that is innovative, is demonstrable and has strong current or potential commercial application.

“Our committee is seeking the best IT innovators from across the state to show off their technical leadership,” Kevin Flynn, a partner with Daniels & Daniels and co-chairman of the 2002 Selection Committee, said in a statement. “By being one of the IT leaders selected to demonstrate at InfoTech, you go from hearing the latest buzz to being the latest buzz at a conference targeting the IT elite.”

Companies that demo at the CED event will gain exposure among more than 800 investors, national and regional media, potential strategic partners and IT professionals.

The early bird registration deadline is June 27. Final deadline is July 10. Priority will be given to early applicants.

In addition to company demos, the conference will include extensive
networking opportunities, exciting featured speakers, and interesting panel sessions. For more information on applying to demo or general registration, visit the InfoTech 2002 Web site.
