Georgia Tech’s Economic Development Institute (EDI) is taking ISO online.

EDI now offers two online training courses related to management
systems for ISO (Industry Standards Organization) 9001:2000, Internal Audit 2002 and Executive Introduction to ISO 9001:2000. The institute also offers Understanding Management Systems for Energy 2000 online.

Internal Audit 2002 is an eight-hour course that costs $400. It focuses on the internal audit systems requirements of ISO 9001:2000. Developed and facilitated by ISO 9001 staff from EDI’s Center for International Standards & Quality, this course teaches how to convert internal audit system from the 1994 version of ISO 9001 to the 2000 version.

Executive Introduction to ISO 9001:2000 is a six- to-eight-hour overview of ISO 9001:2000 that costs $195. It examines the requirements of the standard and provides information on registration. With access to the course for 48 days, students can study ISO 9001:2000 at their own pace, or use it as an awareness-training tool.
