In a slow venture capital year, 30 Georgia, 27 North Carolina and two South Carolina firms have raised nearly $500 million in new funding.
Local Tech Wire’s exclusive Venture Watch List tracks deals in all three sates, and one trend is clear: Most of the money ($321 million) continues to go to Georgia firms. North Carolina’s deals nearly match Georgia’s in number but not in size ($139 million).
