Reflex Security announced that the company has appointed Trevor Horwitz to the position of chief executive officer. Company co-founders Hezi Mualem, chief technology officer, and Carson Spencer, executive vice president of business development.
Horwitz has been with the company since November 2001 in a consulting role. Prior to the consulting work Horwitz served as the vice president of business development for Enterpulse, a national Web integration firm, and as CEO of New Media Productions, an e-business development company.
The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that Reflex is trying to raise a $5 million Series A round of funding, and that the company already has raised close to $1 million from individual investors.
Horwitz officials did not immediately return telephone calls.
