Convergion, a software developer of applications for use with information technology products and services, announced today the company is merging with Unicorp, Inc., a software firm focused on customer relationship management solutions.
The acquisition of Unicorp gives Convergion more than $70 million in annual revenue, and statement issued by the company says it plans to continue growing through mergers and acquisitions.
Bruce Phillips, senior vice president for strategic partner development at Convergion, says: “Unicorp was a logical choice for the most powerful outcome. We are now strategically positioned to address the rapidly expanding Call Center Services market by building upon the value of Unicorp’s market leadership in CRM.”
Company officials did not immediately return telephone calls about financial details of the merger, and whether the newly combined company plans to shed some positions due to attrition.
